Girls Camp!
I had the most amazing experience at Girls Camp! It was a high adventure camp at Camp Browning. First the Young Women and leaders met at the church at 6 in the morning! One leader woke up at 4:30 am to make us all yummy breakfast burritos! She is so nice! Then we drove up there, it only took about an hour. We listened to music and laughed a lot. The scenery was so pretty! When we got there we went on a 3 hour hike that was really pretty. Then we had lunch which was good, then we went on the COPE course! The COPE course is like an obsticle course that is 25 feet off the ground! You had to climb up a latter first, some girls got cut on it and were bleeding pretty bad. Then you had to jump on to swinging wood boards held up by rope. Then you had to tight rope across a cable with just another cable above it to hold on to. Next you had to walk across a wider wood pole with nothing to hold on to, and finally zip line down to the ground! You had a harness on, but it was the scariest thing I've ever done in my life! Then we went back to camp ate, roasted marsh mellows and Starbursts and sang primary songs. My tent was full of spiders and was the smallest one and closest to the river! That is okay, I slept fine on my blow up mattress. We woke up early and had breakfast at 7 then went down the huge hill to go propelling. I didn't go straight of the cliff, but I climbed to the top and then came down. Then we had lunch and did a shooting range. At first I didn't want to do it but I had a lot of fun. Then we did my favorite thing, Testimony Meeting! It was so fun! It was around a camp fire, surrounded by trees. Everyone cried- and so I cried a lot-, and everyone laughed and bore their testimonies. It was such a good experience and we are all so much closer. We also got to retire a flag, which was really cool. We sang the National Anthem then the Priesthood covered the fire with the flag, and let it burn. We sang America the Beautiful while the flag burned, and talked about our freedoms. It was the perfect ending to two perfect days!
