The Ballet Recital
I love recital time! All the costumes, buns, make-up and dancing is so much fun! This year the theme was The Little Prince and Bach, Beethoven, and the Beetles. I was a planet, Polonaise, and Day-tripper. The costumes were so fun. All my dances were in Cast A, so I decided to chaperone with my friend in Cast B. We were at Weber every night, and a few afternoons, and it was so fun. The girls I chaperoned were so cute. They said such funny things like, "I can juggle with oranges on my head", "My make-up is getting soggy", or one in Ruby's class said that her dad was on the moon right now. They have big imaginations! I had a dressing room for ballet for the first year, because we were getting a little old for the magician. It was so big and nice. I wasn't in it that often since I was either onstage or changing costumes to be onstage, but I still had fun with all the girls. Next year we all won't be in the same class, so I'll miss them. After the last performance my grandpa Bill took us out for ice cream at Baskin Robbins. Lexie and Jennie, Grandma and Grandpa, Coco and Bill, Tricia, and my best friend McCall came to see it. Now we'll have to wait for the Nutcracker in the fall!
