Nutcracker!

Yesterday I went to a Ballet West Annual Curtain-up Performance with Ruby, Ari, my mom and Lexie. The dancers perform excerpts from different ballets and you can vote on your favorite. The audience favorite gets to be performed in an upcoming season. And guess who sat right in front of us? Christiana Bennett!!! And some other soloist dancers! She signed Ruby's pointe shoes and we actually talked to her! Lexie asked her what her best auditioning tips are since Nutcracker Try-outs are tomorrow. She gave us really good advice and was really, really nice! she is our role model and we were hyperventilating with excitement! She told us good luck so we were sure it was a sign that Nutcracker would go well. It did. Ari, Ruby, Lexie and I made it. But Freestone and Ellison didn't! We are so sad for Ellison, Freestone doesn't care though. And...Ruby and I both got Clara Call-backs! I thought I was too old and could not believe it when my mom called and told us. I cried! I don't want to get my hopes up because I honestly want to be Clara more than anything in the world, but we were so excited. The only bad part is that we have to wait until Tuesday morning to find out. And I'll be in school when the parts comes out! I've been praying and hoping and worrying that I'll be Clara all day and I'm pretty sure Sunday and Monday will be the same. Cross your fingers for us!
