Imperial Beach

This was the most fun, amazing and good-weathered trip ever! Despite the gray rain clouds and tons of rain on the weather report, the weather was all blue sky and sun for most of the time! That was great! We spent lots of time on the beach lounging around and eating cookies. And I have to admit, I only went buggie boarding one time! We went to the hot tub when the sky was gray and a little chilly. Each kid picked out a day of the week to go to Katie's Cafe with dad. I got Thursday. I got a yummy mango-strawberry smoothie. We walked along the pier a couple of times and saw a guy catch a big starfish! We went to "Cow-A-Bunga" for $1 popsicles that were so delish! I got coconut twice and strawberry! I also got Mexican Hot chocolate with a scoop of rocky road ice cream in it with my mom, YUM! One of my favorite parts is the Seacaost pizza! It's a huge pizza that fills our family of eight for 2 meals easily! And it's delicious! We celebrated Xanthe's 6th birthday and had an oreo cake, pizza, presents, beach and fake hair. She was so hilarious with her long braids! Every stranger we walked by got to see Xanth flip her hair dramatically. And she wouldn't leave until the kids we didn't know who were in the hot tub admired her hair :) ! We had to keep reminding Xanthe to smile, because even if she's happy she seems to forget how to show it. We did get quite a bit of smiling out of her though! My dad told stories at night about each kid. Each kid made a wish on a falling star and it would come true! Freestone's dream was to fly and he started on the tippy top of the Eiffel Tower and when he fell off, he could fly! Ari's was to be a mermaid and Ruby's was to have a famous underwater restaurant underneath the Golden Gate Bridge! Xanthe's was to wake up in a room full of every kind of food and drink! Mine was to be on stage singing in Les Mis. the part of Cossette and dancing Clara in the Nutcracker and playing the flute in the Philharmonic New York Orchestra! My dad new every kids dream and Tolly's was to be with his family and it came true and that is why we were here. We went to the dollar store and Bibbey's Seashell Shop. It was so much fun and I'm so glad we were able to go. The condo at I.B. is our third home! (Our first home is our house, and our 2nd home is Clytie Adams Ballet Alley :) )
