The Lion King

I was lucky enough to go to The Lion King on Wednesday! I loved it so much! Ryan and Jennie drove us, along with their kids Lexi, Collin and Jackson. When we got there, we saw Grandma and Grandpa, and Michelle and Jake. The Capital Theatre is so beautiful! I've been there to see Cats, and lots of Operas, but every time I go I just think how pretty it is! We had seats on the second to last row, but Ruby and I didn't care at all, we were so excited! The first act started with the baboon, Rafiki singing. I loved her voice! The song Circle of Life was AMAZING! The costumes were so clever! They had giraffes and the people walked on stilts and had them on their hands too. There were also birds, gazelles, rams, hippos, lions, a leopard, elephants and vultures! The cast was so talented, and the kids were really cute. Oh, and you wouldn't believe how cool the sets were! My grandma and grandpa switched me and Ruby seats at Intermission. Which was so nice! Thank you SO much! It was really amazing to see it from the front seats of the balcony! We love you! The second act was just as good as the first! The bright sets, costumes and familiar songs reminded me of when I was little, and I'd watch the movie. I had a Simba stuffed animal and I loved the movie. My dad even called me Simba when I was little, because he would hold me up above his head so everyone could see how cute I was.
Watching the show gave me chills, because everyone was so good! It really made me want to be on Broadway, and made me know I need to be someday. Thank you so much for letting me go mom and dad!

Golda (and Ruby),
I am so thrilled that you got to see "The Lion King". What a thrill. I hope to see it before it leaves. Reading your mom's and your thoughts about it makes me want to get my ticket tomorrow!...Your enthusiasm and happiness of seeing the show shines through your expressions and thoughts on the show. I saw one of the actors, one of the main ones, on Channel Two News perform and just that much was thrilling!..I am so glad you got to see it. Keep up your goal and dream of being on Broadway!..Never give up on a dream for that is how it becomes a reality by keeping it in your heart. Congratulations to you and Ruby for the accomplishment of 100 hours, I am so proud of you. Love, Great Aunt Tricia XOXO
