The Pageant

Yesterday was the big day! Pageant day! I had gone to at least 4 workshops every Saturday to get ready for the pageant. We practiced the production number, walking, and did mock interviews. I had to do a lot of paperwork and practicing, but it was all so worth it. I made such good friends and got experience with interviews and other performing opportunities. My aunt Nikki was kind enough to let me borrow 2 dresses of hers, and I thought they were perfect. Coco did the alterations on the dresses, my other aunt Jennie was my Hostess, my Grandma and Grandpa, Tricia, Michelle B., Nikki, Jenny, Lexie, Coco, Bill, Jen R., Kayla and Neeley, my Mom and Dad, Ruby, Ari, Amanda Layton, Rachel Yadon, Sally Taylor and Suzanne Taylor and Freestone came to the pageant to support me.Thank you so much for coming! I love getting out of the dressing rooms and seeing all of you waiting for me, It is the best feeling in the world.  It was one of the funnest things I've ever been able to do, and I think I'll do it again when I'm a little older. Maybe next year or the year after. I got two trophies, Platform Choice and Photogenic awards. Even though I didn't win, I feel good about how I did and I know I did my best. I'm so happy for Abrianne Boseman the Outstanding Teen winner, and Sarah Madsen her First Attendant. They are both so nice and smart. I'm excited to do it again soon, but now I think I will enjoy the rest of my vacation!
